Question by cutekiller: What type of yoga is best for a beginner who is specifically looking to reduce stress?
I’m trying to decide between 2 classes being offered locally: Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga. The course descriptions make Hatha sounds a bit more kinetic, but since I’m new to all this I really don’t know which is best. My goal is to reduce stress and muscle tension.
By the way, I am NOT looking to lose weight.

Hi there, this explain about your question :
Kundalini, which literally means coiled up or better known as the snake position, seeks to explore the dormant life energies or forces in the body.
whereas
Hatha yoga is a very significant discipline that helps a yoga practitioner to achieve unity of body and mind in order for him to be elevated to spiritual perfection. While different yoga pose can also develop muscles and body form, they are however primarily aimed to achieve a balance in the body systems and internal organs.
If you’re a beginner then Hatha Yoga might be the way to go since it’s more likley to be slow paced.
I would also consider Bikram Yoga as Bikram only has 26 poses.
